OneClick disconnects a couple of times when rebooting in safe mode.  Since it automatically reconnects when setup to run as a service, this normally isn't an issue.  But it also disconnects at the point where the window pops up saying, "Windows is running in safe mode ...... To proceed to work in safe mode, click Yes.  If you prefer to use System Restore to restore your computer to a previous state, click No."  Until someone at the remote machine chooses 'Yes', no reconnection occurs.

Since I often work on client machines after normal business hours and have them start the connection before leaving, if I run into a problem that requires me to reboot into safe mode I'm usually stuck until the next morning.  Is there a way to resolve this issue?

Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can find a way to disable the prompt. Might have to turn off system restore temporarilly but would rather not have to do this.

I'm currently looking into using OneClick as my tool of choice for remote support, but I haven't been able to get the reboot into safemode working yet. Once it reboots... my connection window on the viewer PC closes. The client PC continues to boot in to Safe Mode (with networking). It then halts at the prompt about Safe Mode and System Restore. If I manually press Yes to continue... Windows loads into safe mode, but the OneClick service isn't running. If I try to manually start it I get an error message stating that it cannot start in Safe Mode.

Here's my setup...

Using latest free version 2.0.8
The client PC is running XP Pro SP3
My PC (viewer) is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

I have created the customer module (OneClick.exe) to run as a service and I'm not using a repeater. The two boxes are on my home network as this is just for testing. If we can resolve this issue then you'll have another paying customer Smiley

Thanks for your time!

Turning off system restore has no effect on the prompt.

I am interested in purchasing one-click, but would like to know if this problem has been solved?  Would like to hear from other users on how they like the program.

There doesn't appear to be a way to disable the prompt without patching/modifying the explorer.exe file. We're looking for alternate methods to bypass this.

In an earlier version of OneClick, it didn't disconnect right at the safe mode prompt.  Maybe a better solution is to investigate why the additional disconnections are happening.

That's what we're looking into. Hoping the version released today will address some of the disconnect issues.
